“Mmm… Don’t feel good, Soush,” Narumi mumbles, his words garbled and clumsy like he’s speaking around a mouthful of marbles. “Chest ‘rts.”
Hoshina can’t bring himself to look at the crushed armor on Narumi’s chest and offers him what he hopes is a reassuring smile instead.
“Hey, come on now… You’re okay. You’re good, right?” he asks softly, and he’s not sure if he’s trying to convince Narumi or himself. “You’re alright. You’re Narumi Gen, there’s no way some one-hit by a weak ass kaiju is gonna take ya down.”
