    1974. Bolivar Trask es casi asesinado por la mutante Mystique. El presidente casi fue asesinado por Magneto. La humanidad presenció esto, pero mientras los mutantes vieron en ello un brillo de esperanza, ellos lo vieron como una amenaza a su supervivencia.
