Mydei crosses his arms, leaning into the doorway. Deliberately tilting his neck and presenting in a taunt, letting his own pheromones drift and turn into something less threatening, more tantalizing. Promises of rewards in the shape of his calloused hand around Phainon’s knot, if he just so behaves and recognizes Mydeimos’ superiority. Phainon’s laugh is a little delirious, his eyes are trained on the exposed patch of skin he’s provoked with.
“Puppy,” Mydei calls, and Phainon’s eyes snap back to his again, gorged with rare, unseen hunger—and something else. Want. Lust. He's a parched man and all he’s offered to slake the thirst is burning, red, salted ocean water. Mydei smirks. “Ask for it.”

"You don't know anything about how I feel because you don't care about ANYONE!" He let go of the other boy's shirt and pushed him away. Keith's back banged against the other treadmill.
The silence was heavy. Lance glared at Keith, fists raised, prepared for a fight.
But for once, Keith didn't glare back at him. "So." Keith's voice was almost too strained and quiet to hear. "That's how you feel."
Then he turned around and left the room without another word.

Like how Alastor always shies away from touch but has lately been allowing light brushes of arms and very brief hugs.
Even now, he’s spinning her dad around by the shoulders to point out a decoration on the lobby wall, letting his hand linger on her dad’s arm and…and…

In front of him is one of the Favonius Knights, hands holding out an enveloped letter. He looks down at it before up again to meet the other’s eyes in silent question.
“Ah, well. We found this amongst the paperwork on Captain Varka’s desk, I figured it would be best if you look at it.”
Reaching out for the envelope, Flins turns it around and finds his name written at the bottom corner. The urge to ignite this paper in flames was strong, there’s anger surging up in him at the audacity. He calms the storm as quickly as it comes, it does no good to scare off an innocent knight.
“Thank you.”
The letter feels heavy where it sits on the inside pocket of his coat. He itches to know what’s written and wishes to never open it at the same time, feeling as complicated as the feeling that's been bubbling in him ever since he received the news. He is mad, he’s crestfallen – he’s every emotion boiled into one, he faults Varka then he faults no one … it’s weird.

“You and I, what exactly are we from each other?” Rover asks as he faces Luuk. Luuk brings his hand to his chin, as if he’s thinking about the next words that need to leave his mouth.
“Mm.. friends, I’d say.” Luuk responds, then turns around and waves his hand as he continues, “Not the kind who lived in each other’s pockets, but, as a Huanglong saying puts it,’ he turns his head and watches Rover from over his shoulder while he crosses his arms, “‘true friendships are still waters that run deep.’”
He looks back in front of him. “We met by chance, and by another twist of fate you entrusted me with a rather long-term assignment.” Luuk touches his forehead because knowing Rover, he’s not accepting this answer, so he turns back around to face him. “How about this: ‘Strangers in passing who became confidants.’ And perhaps, I should add a more modern side-term ‘friends with benefits.’” Rover gasps and takes a step back. “How does that definition suit you?” Luuk asks and smiles, crossing his arms in front of him again.
