Shen Qingqiu forces his eyes to meet Luo Binghe’s. “Anything.”
“I already have your life,” Luo Binghe says idly. “You don’t have much more to give, do you?”
Shen Qingqiu blinks placidly. “I’m sure you can think of something.”
Luo Binghe smiles slowly, looking almost vulpine. “Of course, I can. In fact, I know what I want from you, Shen Qingqiu.”
He doesn’t want to imagine what depravity lurks in Luo Binghe’s mind. He inclines his head, skin itching at the contact with Luo Binghe, and waits.

Summary
After the events of the Immortal Alliance Conference, Luo Binghe and Liu Qingge find themselves suddenly dependent on one another for survival. In order to return to their beloved Shen Qingqiu, they’ll have to face down innumerable monsters, Luo Binghe’s unstable demonic powers, and their own tangled feelings.
Meanwhile, all Shen Qingqiu wants is to be left alone. Unfortunately, even with the System in hibernation he can’t seem to escape the demands of the plot. He finds himself tasked with sorting out the aftermath of the Conference, investigating a missing person case, and taking a trip to visit Liu Qingge’s family. Through it all, the narrative continues to deviate further and further from the original story Shen Qingqiu had read, ultimately leading to a discovery that could shed light on the past and bring long-buried secrets to the surface.

Summary
Beggars are among the ones who have not given up hope. Hands stretch toward her as He Xuan stalks through. Shi Qingxuan, somehow, has not changed much in the past five years. His hair still curls, eyes are still bright, and somehow, despite the impossibility of his life improving, Shi Qingxuan has yet to break. As she approaches him, Shi Qingxuan folds down the hood on his head and smiles at her.
“Would it be strange to ask for spare coin?” he asks.
Instead of answering, He Xuan thrusts the xiaolong in his hand. Shi Qingxuan takes it, very carefully untucking the fragile arm from a makeshift sling. He uses enervated fingers to pull open the top, inhaling the steam that spills out.
