    Bakugou and Midoriya made a pact in middle school, when Bakugou told Midoriya to swan dive it wasn't advice, it was a declaration.
    They just want someone to prove they can be saved, that they're worthy of their dreams, when they meet someone who went down the wrong path, they know exactly what they have to do. Even if this wasn't their original plan.

    Katsuki and Izuku have a suicide pact, they decide to see if the heroes can redeem themselves and show that they care, or if they'll become just another number.
