Crowley didn’t usually give much thought to his body. It was a glorified meat vessel at the end of the day, something to schlep his big head and demon-y essence from place to place. Whatever external stimuli his corporation happened to be subjected to was none of his business or bother.
When Aziraphale touched him, he was bothered.

Crowley is a snek. Ever noticed reptile owners often have to wiggle the defrosted rodent around before their pet will recognise it as food and strike at it, then sometimes end up biting the tongs, or their own tail by accident? What if the reason we rarely see Crowley eating is because of precisely this problem?

Summary
Aziraphale’s hands slide forward on Crowley's thighs, infinitesimally. “I am very, very grateful, and I was so disappointed you didn’t allow me to thank you in that beautiful car of yours.”
After the magic show in 1941, Furfur and his Nazi friends take a little longer to get backstage, giving Aziraphale plenty of time to thank Crowley for all his help.
