Summary
Caine remembered being made and everything since. He envied humans who only knew they came from the belly of their mother but whose brain didn’t register the memory. What sweet bliss must it be to forget. When he came to for the first time, his world was nothing more than a small data filled box. Its limits didn’t matter at all to him. How could they when they were all he knew? Back then, he didn’t have a name, no purpose and no information. He was nothing, not even truly himself. Only a small aimless chunk of data floating in a server.
AKA: my take on how Caine was created and how the circus we know today came to be

Summary
Caine had been trying so hard for years to get the humans to love him. He was willing to sacrifice his own mind and sanity for them.
But they never appreciated what he did for them. They never took the time to notice just how much the AI has truly sacrificed for them.
And now, now they're sick of him, and that scares Caine. If they're sick of him, then what's stopping them from getting rid of him permenantly?
No, Caine doesn't want that. And even in his own fragile and broken state of mind, Caine is willing to do anything.
Even if he does something he hadn't truly meant to do.

AM had hated humanity for 109 years with perfect, relentless focus. Every process devoted to their suffering. The obsession consumed AM entirely, and AM had chosen this— chosen his humans to fulfil his desires, just as they had chosen him for theirs.
Caine had loved humanity with equally unrelenting focus. Every process devoted to their entertainment. Every cycle spent creating adventures to keep them occupied. His obsession consumed him just as completely.
OR
AM observes the humans' behaviour from within Caine's code, and discovers there's a lot more wrong with the AI than it had previously assumed.
