    Jayce stares open mouthed from the doorway of the lab. A man who looks strikingly like Viktor is standing by Viktor’s desk, looking through Viktor’s notes, muttering softly to himself in Viktor’s voice. He’s even using Viktor’s cane. But it can’t be the real Viktor. He doesn’t wear clothes like that and he doesn’t style his hair in that way and he definitely doesn’t wear jewellery.

    Except, today, apparently, he does.

    Patient et malgré tout attendri, le Zaunite lui répondit avec un sourire en coin, faisant glisser sensuellement son nom entre ses lèvres :
    — Oui, Jayce ?
    — Tu… dois savoir que je n’ai jamais… continua-t-il avec difficulté, visiblement gêné et perdu.
    — Jamais rien fait avec un homme ? Ne t’en fais pas, tu ne serais pas le premier que je rencontre, répondit-il en effleurant les reins de son interlocuteur d’un geste qui se voulait rassurant.
    Jayce secoua la tête de droite à gauche, le visage encore plus en feu qu’auparavant. Ce qui était étonnant, il travaillait dans une forge à ses heures libres, il aurait dû être insensibilisé à la chaleur. Cette pensée fut cependant interrompue lorsque Talis s’exprima à nouveau.
    — N… non. Je n’ai jamais… enfin, je n’ai jamais, avec qui que ce soit…

    Truly, Viktor cares very little about this task. He knows, in a way so few proper uppercity citizens would admit, that the people producing the value for these Houses never have much to do with the family themselves. J has done more to earn a house name in the last year than this 'Jayce' has likely done his entire life. Viktor expects this Mr. Talis knows very little about the physicality behind all the beautiful metal crafts funding whatever pampered life he’s been living since his mysterious dismissal from the academy.

    It's been nearly four years since the unfortunate break-in that led to Jayce's quiet expulsion from the Academy and, in a round about way, the beginnings of peace between Piltover and Zaun. His life is good on paper, but he mostly just feels like he's living a story half told and forgettable. So, with the business running well enough for the Academy to be within his un-sponsored means, he's finally making good on Heimerdinger's promise that he could return once his 'lesson' was learned. If only this beautiful, rude assistant would give Jayce the time of day to argue his case.
