Summary
In harsher, more bloodthirsty AU of Star Trek, Captain Francis Crozier, a Romulan loyal to the the Terran Empire, has just assumed command of the ISS Terror. Both ships are grounded. Fleet mission is compromised. He broods.
Meanwhile, a new mission has been issued to Thomas Jopson, Terran, loyal to and so beloved by the Terran Empire: terminate Crozier by any means necessary. Get close enough to kill.
How close are either of them willing to get?

Thomas looked up at him, wide-eyed, and Crozier felt his throat move under his fingertip. Thomas hesitated another moment before answering. “D-daddy. Sir. That was what I- I nearly said.”
Crozier could feel his eyebrow raise of its own accord. ...Well. In for a penny, in for a pound.
