Pat almost wanted to laugh. He remembered a few years ago when his parents would often throw this line around when he refused to eat his vegetables or clean up his room. But he was no longer at an age that was a viable threat. And then it hit him- he's no longer at an age it was an empty threat.
“Mom,” he looked helplessly.
“Just go to your room, son. I'll talk to you in a bit.”
She didn't deny it. She didn't say he wasn't going. “Mom?” The desperation and panic were starting to set in.

Wine froze, and his fists closed on instinct. He recognised that voice from his best dreams and worst nightmares. He turned to look at P’Faifa who was already looking at the other man, which sucked, because he desperately needed his steadying presence right now. He followed suit, hoping he was wrong, that he had misheard somehow, like it was one of those days before he started uni where he couldn’t get his thoughts together, and he could make it go away with a little bit of effort. But the universe clearly was not on his side.

She followed his eye line, “Can you see him again? Is P'Home here?"

Peach is waiting in the hospital and he sees Home again. It scares the shit out of him because all he wants to do right now is to have a screaming match with him. But he can't hear ghosts- or whatever Home is right now.

He was always weaving around Qin like a little bee, using the sweetest of tones with him and acting like the gentleman he is. Never once has Qin seen Duang raise his voice at anyone.
Now that very guy had someone pinned against a wall, arm poised to punch him.
