The aftermath of the fight with Kluh has severe consequences. Not only is Michelangelo seriously hurt but now the things he’s kept pressed down for so long see an opportunity and force their way to the surface.
This family loves each other but they have some healing to do. In more than one way. It won’t be easy and it won’t be quick but they don’t abandon each other.

Leo is back from Japan. Karai is defeated. The turtles are getting settled into a new home. Donnie is well again!
But not everyone is fine. Specifically, Donnie and Mikey. They're distant, clingy, hurting and seem content to plug their ears and hope it goes away.
But Leo knows all too well what happens when a hurting heart is left unhealed. And neither he, Raph or Master Splinter are going to allow that to happen.

After their final battle with the Utrom Shredder and saving the Multiverse from being destroyed, Mikey's been having horrible nightmares of unfamiliar battles and events. Then a malfunction with the Portal Stick sends them and Splinter to an alternate world where they meet their younger, stealthier counterparts, a Splinter who was/is Hamato Yoshi, a pair of teenagers name April and Casey, new mutants who are friend and foe, and a monstrous Shredder who's out for their heads.
Starts in the '03 world then goes to the 2012 world.

For as long as Mikey had known, he had been different. He wasn’t just talking about the fact that he was a mutated turtle, or that he knew ninjutsu or that he lived in the sewers below New York City. No, this marked him different from his brothers. Don had once referred to him being an empath, or having the ability to sense other people’s emotions or mental state. He didn’t need to be in the same room to see his brothers body language to know how they were feeling. Touch made the emotions he felt from someone stronger.
Getting pinned down and beaten by a group of Purple Dragons has disastrous consequences for the youngest turtle.
