Lust wouldn’t survive years. Not even with someone as stubborn and hyperfixated as Stiles. So what if he was in love? The very thought of it sparked elation inside Derek’s chest. He stifled it in an instant. His throat closed up, his chest burned.
Even if Stiles was in love… he would never need Derek the way Derek needed him.
Derek’s love was a scary, monstrous thing. It loomed over him, a beast of its own mind, heavy and thick. He couldn’t let it hit Stiles. It would flatten that human into nothing.

'Merlin?' he began, casting a frown in his manservant's direction. 'Why is your druid name on this shrine?'
'I don't have a druid name. It's just the name the druids call me.' Merlin scowled, no doubt hearing how foolish he sounded. His ears were red – embarrassed, not angry, if Arthur had to guess – and there was a faintly mulish slant to his expression.
'That's nice of them to pray for you,' Gwaine said cheerfully, taking the rock from Arthur's grasp. 'Asking the gods to give you patience to help you deal with the Princess here, no doubt.' He elbowed Arthur in the ribs, grinning as he scowled in response.
When riding out to warn a druid camp of an imminent attack from Uther, Arthur and his knights discover that Merlin is far more than just a sorcerer. Does he have the strength to save one of the Old Gods, or will he perish in the effort?

Summary
Jaskier spied the faint outline of a ring on the alderman’s tanned finger, probably recently widowed if he had to guess considering they were in town for a contract and ran with the idea that instantly sprung in his mind.
"As a married man myself, I can understand your struggle. A widowed father doing his best to provide for his only child. How very tragic." He shook his head somberly. "Of course, I don't have any children myself, but I don't know what I would do without my darling…” he trailed off, thinking quickly about a name for his fictional spouse and in his rush, he blurted out the first one he could think of, “Geralt."
The man's eyes widened and he took a step back. "You mean the Witcher?"
Or, the one in which Jaskier uses his fictional marriage to Geralt as a get out of jail free card when cornered by cuckolded husbands. To absolutely no one’s surprise, it backfires.

Like making sure Victor wants to keep competing and the Canadian menace doesn't medal at the GPF this year! If he has to make Yuuri his greatest future competition just to keep Victor involved in the sport, then so be it.
