    What would Frank Herbert have written in Dune 7, truly?
    I longed for a classic, "heady" tale that would echo Frank's writing style and themes, and weaved its way through the giant questions that Heretics and Chapterhouse left unanswered. It started with a character exploration and turning upside down some of the concepts of the book, and it quickly evolved into a multi-planet, multi-plot story that follows are most beloved characters (Miles Teg, Murbella, Sheeana, Duncan Idaho) as well as a cast of new ones.

    Depending on what you define canon, this is a canon continuation (wrt Frank) or a canon alternative (wrt Brian's books).

    What will happen to Leto's unnumerable atoms of awareness spread into the Scattering on rag-tag Bene Gesserit ships? What is going on with Marty and Daniel? What is Duncan Idaho? And so on...
