    Luca blinked at him, horror slowly etching onto his face.

    Behind the camera, Harris cleared his throat to remind them of his presence. Ilya’s eyes never left Shane, who was still berating Troy by citing some charts from his clipboard.

    “Yes,” 

    Haas looked into the camera in utter fear.

    okay great fic, execution was questionable at times, but overall fantastic story. RAINBOW AVENGERS!!! period. love the queer elements and the happy endings for all. if only the real world could follow suit. great fic with time travel premise.

    Shrugging one shoulder far more casually than he possibly feels, Ilya says, “I like both. Is secret, okay?”

    “Okay,” Hollander says, voice cracking.

    He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. Danger always feels like hockey; it’s the most dangerous thing Ilya knows, except for this. Everything dangerous in his life involves men’s bodies and just how close he can get to them. Closer than he probably should.

    A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.

    honestly devastating but so good. Shane has massive anxiety which lowkey is triggering to me but these characters are so real and raw and devastating in such a powerful way. left at chap 22

    In Vegas, after they’d said everything right up to the edge of I love you, Shane and Ilya came up with a plan. It was long term, with many, many steps. There might be a spreadsheet somewhere that Shane won’t admit to.

    But it’s a plan, nonetheless. Over the summer of 2014, they tweak it and add things important to the both of them. There are even many, extensive, contingency plans.

    Thanks to Shane's small lie the first time they hooked up, Shane and Ilya are together years earlier. Now, they have to figure out what to do about it.

    OH MY GOD THIS FIC WAS AMAZING! there were parts where I was in tears laughing and parts where I was in tears crying. absolutely amazing. I predicted the proposal after winning the Stanley cup but omg it was fantastic! ALL MY HOMIES HATE THE METROS! Shane and Ilya relationship dynamic was what I wished for in canon without being over the top, and the wedding was soooooo much better than canon. 10/10 remind me to add this to my favorites when I reread this future Alex
