It was a room. A very precarious state of what should be a room. Or maybe cell was a better description. There was a sink and a toilet on one side. A metal bed attached to the wall in front of her. Everything seemed very old, as if it had been stored and forgotten there for years.
Caitlyn saw she was not alone. Under the bed, occupying the smallest possible space, there was a person.
A child.
"What's your name? I'm Vi," she continued when there was no response. If Caitlyn couldn't see the girl's chest rising and falling, she'd doubt whether she was even alive. "This is Caitlyn. Who are you?"
The minutes passed. Caitlyn was already thinking of her fifth contingency plan when the child moved. An almost imperceptible movement. A slight lift of her neck, allowing for a better view of her intruders. "Lavender," her voice was thin, yet hoarse, as if it hadn't been exercised in a while.
"Nice to meet you, Lavender."

Vi rolled her eyes as Caitlyn followed her into the bathroom, whirling on her the second the door closed.
“What the fuck is your deal? Thought it might be fun to slum it for the night with the gutter trash who rescued you out there? You’re welcome, by the way.”
“No, I–” Caitlyn made a noise of frustration, face scrunching up, and then she was really fuckin’ close.
Vi held her breath, not wanting to break the weird fucking moment.
“You’re infuriating,” Caitlyn breathed, and Vi tried - and failed - not to shiver when warm breath ghosted over her lips.
“Yeah, well–” Vi started to snark back…and then Vi’s night was officially the weirdest she’d had in a while, because Caitlyn Kiramman, conservative politician’s daughter, was kissing her like she was fucking starving and Vi was an all-you-can-eat buffet in the desert.

Summary
Caitlyn is not a workaholic. She loves her work, lives for it, but she is not a workaholic. Her social life is fine, her romantic life is... Fine. So what if its been years since her last proper relationship? So what if she only gets out once or twice a month? Plenty of people work as much as she does, more even. She's content with her lot in life, or so she thinks.
Until she meets Vi. A woman who is not suffering the mother of all dry spells, who is not desperate, and who is not batting way above her league. Caitlyn's not just unattainable, she's a museum exhibit; look, but don't touch. Which is a damn shame because Vi really, really wants to touch.
In other words, two lesbians in desperate need of companionship, but neither seem capable of doing what they want. Gods help them.

Vi knew two things: one, that she had teased and messed with the wrong alpha, and two, that she was screwed. After a wild night in a bar, under the influence of alcohol, Vi is apprehended by the Wardens, who waste no time in locking her up in a cell at their headquarters. The next day, when she is taken to the Sheriff's personal interrogation room, the Sheriff is more than ready to teach Vi a lesson and take care of her rehabilitation personally, ensuring she becomes an exemplary citizen. But things don't end there as the Sheriff has set herself a goal, to break the omega's unbreakable will at any cost and make her her personal pet.
