Summary
After an injury at Nationals, Coach Aqua deems singles skating to be too demanding on Riku's body. Unfortunately, the person she brings in to be Riku's new partner for pair skating just so happens to be Sora, his childhood friend-turned-boyfriend who disappeared from Riku's life when he was sixteen. Now, Riku can't help but feel all his unresolved emotions coming back to the surface - he's still desperately, hopelessly, pathetically in love. And, worst of all, there's something else there too: a flicker of hope.

Hope met his gaze for a second, then shrugged casually. “Just a figure of speech.”
Noel shook his head. Life was an incredibly precious thing in his time. He didn’t understand how people from the past could joke about death so casually, nor did he understand why there was something sad in Hope’s eyes, even as he smiled. -
