Summary
Canon divergent. Mostly canon compliant through 2x9 except that season 1 and 2 happen over the course of a couple of years.
After failing to remove Alder from power, Tally has been keeping her head down and trudging through her second year at War College. The Camarilla threat is growing every day, and her unit is being groomed for intelligence. When an attack on base makes the mycelium feel threatened, Alder and Tally are thrown into a situation no one expected. Now, they must learn to work together, the last line of defense for an Army that is falling apart. Old rivalries are laid to rest as the witch plague becomes a threat bigger than any other, one that will take everything to defeat.

Summary
For supposedly being one of the finest Knowers in decades, Tally often felt like she knew very little.
She didn't know how to process the dreams that kept her up at night since becoming un-biddied. Mothertongue, that was tough. Handling Raelle and Abigail's teasing about her life choices, that could be a lot.
And mostly, she definitely didn't have a clue how to handle having a debilitating attraction and world-class crush on the most powerful woman on the literal planet, who definitely would never feel the same way.
Anyway. It was fine. It was all just fine.
Or,
Tally's nightmares never stop; in fact, they become a form of emotional torture that keeps her up at night. Alder, in a twist, agrees to help Tally through late-night meetings, and Tally is faced with an entirely different kind of emotional torture.

Sarah Alder has never really described herself as being jealous. Frankly she was pretty neutral on that front...until she met Tally Craven. Now, it seems like everything concerning Tally makes her gut twist unpleasantly--even when there is nothing to be concerned with.

Sarah gets jelly of anyone hitting on Tally and the unit (& Harley) decide they need to push the issue to get Sarah to act

In other words, the spaces between episodes 2-9, the time Nicole Haught introduces herself to the love of her life in Shorty's bar, beer soaked and beautiful, and Waverly Earp figures her shit out and falls in love right back.
