His supposed well off husband left him with nothing, his family cut him off, and at 34 years old with two children and nothing he’s forced to start a new life.
Dean's had it hard his whole life and at 28 he’s just now recovering from a horrific incident that left him damaged both physically and mentally. He’s stagnant in life, spending his days struggling to regain his independence and mindlessly working at an autoshop.
Together they learn to heal and survive when Dean’s dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

Billy catches on before it's too late, and an unlikely alliance is formed. Billy's mean and bitter and angry, but he's not Neil. And he's gonna make damn sure Neil doesn't hurt Max. Summary
When Sam Winchester’s brother, Dean, asks him to be his Best Man, Sam finds himself flying back home to Kansas for the wedding, despite his reservations. A chance encounter at the airport--involving a spilled cup of coffee--throws Sam into the path of outgoing travel writer, Gabriel Novak. When the two men find themselves as seat mates on the flight, the simmering heat between them ramps up. A quickie in the airport bathroom after they land has Sam walking on air when he meets up with his slightly estranged brother. He is surprised, however, to discover that not only is Dean marrying a man—but that his fiancé, Cas, happens to also be Gabriel’s little brother.
When Sam’s accommodations fall through, and there is no vacancy at the hotel, Gabriel graciously offers to share his room. Between wedding drama, family issues, trying to keep their budding romance from their brothers, as well as just about every ex in Sam’s past crawling out of the woodwork, the two men find that their only respite is when they are alone together in their room. Sam certainly hadn’t expected anyone like Gabriel to come into his life, but after a weekend to remember, he isn’t ready to let the other man go. -

After a brutal and mysterious animal attack in northern Maine, reptile expert Castiel Novak is sent from the safety of his NYC museum to investigate. However, the assignment comes at the perfect time seeing as Castiel was just dumped—for his brother Michael. Once he’s arrived, Cas meets Sam Winchester, the local sheriff, and more importantly, Sam’s brother, Dean, the handsome head warden of Fish & Game. Something about Dean has Cas all turned around and despite the precariousness of their situation, he finds himself falling. Things begin to become more complicated when Castiel’s other (more eccentric) brother, Gabriel, shows up in his helicopter to swim with whatever is lurking below the surface of Pleasant Lake.
