Summary

Draco looked from her eyes to her mouth whenever she spoke, and each time she blinked, lost her place, glanced back at her papers and had to start again.
The idea that he was slowly and successfully building something that might help him get out of here or at least make his stay more bearable with fucking Granger was… fantastic. And also, he no longer pretended he didn’t enjoy the effect he had on her for reasons entirely separate from his plan.
Every time they saw each other, she lingered in his space longer. She stopped commenting when his fingers brushed her knee accidentally when she stood too close.
She knew it, he knew she knew it, they were on the same page.
Draco could see it in the way she looked at him now, the way she spoke to him, she couldn’t fake that.
He got her.

Several years into his imprisonment in Azkaban, Draco sees his first real chance at freedom when healer Granger starts working in the infirmary. So now, his plan is to convince her that he deserved it and that she cared enough about him to help him.
