Who keeps calling him up over unseen video feeds and taunting Ethan with a lazy drawl of someone who's probably taking this call with one hand in his pants, and whose every word to Ethan promises that he knows. He knows, and he likes it. And he might just be convinced to play along.

What would have happened if Heisenberg hadn't thrown Ethan into the hole to deal with Strum? What if Heisenberg had beaten some sense into Ethan instead, making him see things his way?
The story starts after the events in the stronghold, and follows Ethan, as he tries to cope with surviving the nightmares of the village, while also battling the nightmares of his past. Fortunately, Heisenberg offers a solution to the current problem of rescuing Rose. Unfortunately for Ethan, Heisenberg also believes he has even more solutions to offer.
