Summary
After the Rose was defeated, Kaiba left the camp grounds, fulfilling his duty of becoming the pharaoh of the Egyptian realm. While not the best responsibility, it gave him time to reflect on his actions, helping him change for the better (or so he hopes).
Even so, Camp Oasis' influence was never far. After a few years, Kaiba found himself with marriage proposals. While somewhat flattering - and most definitely a pain - none were from the one person he actually wanted.

All known evils had been defeated; the camp was supposedly safe.

Wasn't everything supposed to get better?
Five years should have changed everything.
