“What the fuck?” Liam mutters under his breath, not able to stop the words from tumbling out of his mouth. The stranger on the bed startles, somehow not having heard Liam fall through the window. When the guy finally turns, it feels a little like Liam has been sucker punched in the chest. The guy is possibly the most striking person he’s seen in real life.

“Oh. Um. Hello.” The stranger says, looking warily at Liam. Liam is sure he looks much the same, gaping like a particularly unattractive fish. It’s not that he thought Alex was lying about having a boyfriend, but he’d always been this amorphous blob in Liam’s mind—like this intangible thing that was real but he couldn’t see. Now, though? He is very real, very present, and very much has a fresh bite mark on his neck bonding him to, presumably, his best friend for life.OR; five times people found out that Alex and Henry are bonded, and one time the whole school finds out.

"I have a book club of sorts with my sist– my friend,” Henry corrects himself quickly.
“Were you going to say sister?” the teen asks curiously. “I know who your sister is; you talk about her all the time and I’m not stupid; I’ve heard of Princess Beatrice.”
“Oh, not Bea,” Henry says. “This is my friend June. She’s not… well, she’s my partner's sister.” Though June has referred to Henry directly as her brother, and he certainly feels similarly toward her, it’s not appropriate to refer to her as his sister or even his sister-in-law in public.
A kid at Henry's shelter inspires him to pick the Little Women series for his book club with June. Meanwhile, Alex is there, by his side, supporting him always, and Henry starts thinking more about their future in all the good ways.

There, at the foot of the bed, stands Alex, bathed in the morning light, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he catches Henry watching him in the mirror. Henry might be still woozy, but his eyes are sharp, following every deliberate movement Alex makes as he brings his hand to the front of his towel, tugging on it and letting it unravel to the floor.
“Enjoying the view?” Alex asks.
Henry narrows his eyes, though the faint blush in his cheeks betrays him. “I’d enjoy it a lot more if you wouldn’t ruin it by getting dressed.”
Or: As Alex gets dressed and ready for work, Henry is overwhelmed by the vision in front of him. So he takes the matter into his own hands.
