    Summary

    Bard and Thranduil are unlikely roommates. Thranduil having grown up in the lap of luxury finds himself cut off from the family fortune after university as his father believes the young man isn’t taking life seriously enough.

    Meanwhile, Bard, whilst not destitute by any means, has not had the easiest time growing up in a house with 5 other older siblings.

    The two of them don’t really live in harmony but it is as good as it gets.

    After spending 2 years living together, Thranduil is summoned home and their friendship slowly crumbles into nothing, leaving the two men to lead vastly different lives.

    Nearly 15 years pass before a chance encounter and they meet again, neither man is the same. Both widowed and raising children alone they foster a new friendship, but things are more difficult than anticipated and both men wonder if the past is better off remaining where it is.
