The sadness is gone, lost to Suo Wei's annoyance at being given homework as a grown adult. That he's happy to try polyamory- he whispers the word in English, clearly bothered by the idea that someone at a nearby table might overhear him- since that's what Xiao Shuai wants, but relationships shouldn't involve studying. If they come to a problem, they'll figure it out.
