And then Wille actually reaches his chair and begins to pull it out as he looks up to see the face of the man — he loses his grip on the chair and it clatters to the floor.
His heart misses quite a few beats. Because it has to be him sitting across from him. Beautiful shiny curls, radiant tan skin, the most expressive dark eyes, and soft lips currently parted in surprise. The boy he loved and had let down at sixteen.
“Simon.”
“Wille.”
Wille’s mouth twitches and his heart swells at just hearing the nickname from that voice after so long. He bends down to pick his chair up again, complicating the process because he can’t take his eyes off of Simon for even a second. If he does, the other will vanish.
