Summary
This dog was going to be the death of him. Colin Bridgerton adored his four-year-old Pyrenean Mountain Dog, adopted from a farmer he’d met on one of his many trips through the French countryside. The puppy wasn’t suited for livestock guardian work, the man had said. And Colin had taken one look at the precocious, stubborn pup and fallen in love. He’d cut his trip short, travelling back to London that weekend, the soft white and grey puppy asleep on the seat beside him on the train.
And now that puppy (more than tripled in size) was flopped down on the yellow blanket of some poor woman, drooling all over her. Colin slowed to a jog before coming to a halting stop a few feet away, breathing heavily.
“I am so sorry,” he panted, gulping in air. “He’s never run off like that before!”
He was so busy glaring at his damnable dog that he almost missed the flush that crept up the stranger’s cheeks. He froze. If he thought he’d been breathless before, it was nothing to how he felt now.
Colin's dog leads him to someone he never expected.

Summary
