Summary
Harry Evans loved his sister Lily. He took being just a few minutes earlier than her very seriously in his role as a brother. Even before they were born, he always made sure his sister and mother were safe. It meant showing off his magic way too early, but he didn't care if it meant his family was safe. Growing up was an experience he never had before and was able to see a different side of Petunia Dursley nee Evans, he adored her nearly as much as his own twin. Attending Hogwarts with his sister (previously mother) was an experience in itself as he finally met his father from his previous life along with Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. Now maybe he can stop them from screwing up his and Lily's relationship with their best friend Severus. Of course, being in this time period also meant he could dismantle Voldemort before he really amassed followers, well that was just a side-effect of being born a generation early.

When a new family suddenly arrives, his dreams and nightmares suddenly make more sense. He had a family, and being reborn considerably changed things it seems. Harry thought Death was joking when he said this life was going to have a twist. But looking at his reflection and seeing the brown with hints of red in his hair, along with his cheeks, even with the baby fat, being different than his previous life, Harry knew Death did something. Of course, this was confirmed when upon a random request from his aunt (which Harry was sure was also Death being an intrusive asshole) and finding his mother's diary in the attic he had his answer. James Potter was not his father.
Harry was gonna kill Death if he thought he was going to let Death take this apparent alive parental figure, even if he did have to act a little childish for this new family he was going to throw himself into. It wasn't like he was allowed to be an actual child in his first life.
