Nezu steepled his fingers together, leaning in closer to All for One. "I'm thinking a consulting role?"
"Principal Nezu, you can't do this!" All Might protested vehemently with his massive form scrunched uncomfortably into one of the small conference room chairs, like an adult forced to sit in one of the little plastic chairs that might get set at the children's table during a family gathering.
Hisashi looked around, taking in the exhausted face of Eraserhead who would clearly rather be anywhere but here; reveling in the way All Might's face twisted painfully; noted Nezu's calculating and victorious grin- and had the profound sense that he was going to enjoy his time at UA.
OR:
Hisashi Midoriya (A.K.A. the retired villain All for One) gets recruited to teach at UA by Nezu after he gets a call about his son needing surgery after his performance in the sports festival. There's consequences.

Ryan sighed, feeling his annoyance rise at something he knew intellectually wasn't worth getting upset over, but his temper had been resting on a hair trigger for months now. There was a constant sense of dissatisfaction sitting in the back of his mind- the same kind of thing that had sat there all his life, just turned up to eleven.
He supposed it came with the territory of being a 'gifted kid.' Everyone tells you you're destined for great things growing up until you're dumb enough to start to believe it. Then every wasted moment and failure weighs on you until you feel like the only way to make up for your existence is to cure cancer, finally crack tinkertech, kill an Endbringer, or do something else equally impossible.
The annoyance that constantly pricked at him was a subtle thing, digging at the edges of his consciousness and invading his dreams with fragmented memories of crystal worms slithering through starry skies.

Quirkless, young adult Midoriya Izuku has a problem. Namely, he has a crush on his purple haired, tired-looking neighbor. They keep running into each other and the guy is actually pretty nice under that deadpan facade, has a sense of humor, doesn't seem to judge anyone for their quirk status, and is constantly spoiling any cat in the building that finds him. (He's also a shameless flirt.)
But Izuku has concerns. About the strange bruises and bloodied knuckles. About the weapons he's seen when stopping by for a cup of sugar. About the shady-looking figures he's accidentally spotted his neighbor meeting with. About the fact that right after the news reported a big crime bust, his neighbor came home beat all to hell and looking haunted.
Izuku has a problem. Namely, he has a crush on his neighbor, who he's pretty sure is secretly a villain. And he has no idea what to do with that.
(or: Adult!ShinZuku AU where Shinsou is an underground, undercover pro hero trying to find a lead on a case that may or may not involve the socially awkward guy living next door. Misunderstandings abound.)
