Heaven has struck a deal with Hell, and after thousands of years, Adam is finally being given the recognition he deserves as Commander of an army of Exorcists made and trained to be demon killing machines just like him.
Lute has been created and given a higher purpose by the divine to exterminate sinners, and has rightfully been chosen by the Seraphim to act as second in command to the First Man, Adam, after proving herself at every turn.
Too bad putting them together went about as smooth as sandpaper.

Summary
Lute lets out a choked sob, her fists clenching the fabric of her skirt as she glares up at Adam's smirking spirit. "Shut UP! I'm not—this isn't just hormones, you bastard!" She swipes furiously at her tear-streaked face, smearing mascara across her cheekbones. "I don't need your dumb jokes right now. I could've shot someone today and it would've been FINE." Her voice cracks on the last word as she kicks a broken piece of his desk hard enough to send it flying into the wall with a satisfying CRACK.
Adam grinned again and folded his arms. "Sure. Fine. That's why you destroyed my office, huh?"
Lute whirls around, eyes blazing with a mix of fury and humiliation.
