Dean's drunk enough that he can’t get the tears to stop flowing, but sober enough to be humiliated at the fact that he’s crying silently to himself in the bar on Valentine’s Day.
A fresh glass slides across the counter. The kind bartender pushes it close enough towards him that it comes into his field of view even despite his leaned-over, face-shielded, tear-hiding position.
His shame is visible, as is his grief.
TLDR: 3 months after Cas's passing, Dean makes his way to a bar for Valentine's Day. Everyone around him is looking for love, but Dean is struggling to handle Valentine's without his own by his side. A drunk drive home, a savior, many many tears, and a happy/hopeful ending ensue! :)

Unfortunately, Dean Winchester is nothing if not stubborn.
He sucks on his teeth for a moment, roughly picks up his duffel, and slings it over his shoulder as he storms past Cas in the doorway with a bite of, “Go get in the damn car,”.
(TLDR: Cas is rescued from the empty, human. Dean wants to stop hunting because he loves Cas, but can't figure out how to let himself; however, he doesn't want Cas to hunt either, because he loves him. Conflict, angstiness, and love ensues.)

Jack gets Cas out of The Empty, but not all of him: The memories of the last twelve years were taken from Castiel by the Empty, a childish way for the entity to have revenge. Dean is completely broken to lose Cas again, now in another way, right on the time where they had a chance to be happy, the angel is back on his original factory settings.
Despite it, Cas will always be Cas. With memories or not, he cares. He feels.
Back in the day, It took one human to change him. Perhaps, It can happen again.
