"Langdon grins widely once more. “Trying to find somebody to kiss?”
Mel is overwhelmed with…something, a feeling she can’t quite recognise. She’s a little embarrassed that he overheard the conversation, and doesn’t really want to talk about it further, but she also knows that Langdon isn’t going to drop it anytime soon. “I…don’t think so. Becca just really wants me to find someone.”
“Do you want to find someone?”
“I’m not sure,” Mel admits. “Trying to start anything with my demanding schedule isn’t ideal, but I do just keep hearing Becca’s voice in my ear saying “Mel! You have to find someone, it’s about time someone kissed you!” She laughs, before seeing Langdon’s face change slightly. Oh how she wishes she could see what’s going on inside his head.
Langdon takes a step closer to her. “Mel…have you never been kissed?”
