2. the flustered receptionist looks up, sees Eddie, and says “oh thank god”
3. what is unmistakably Buck’s voice booms down the hall, slurred, but clear as day

Summary
"Unce Buck has ouch.", Jee says in a loud voice, dropping her fork to point at his injured arm.
Buck would have loved to sink into the ground at that moment. It was bad enough that he was exposing his scars in front of the whole Buckley-Han household, but that Jee was the first to notice gave him the rest.
He didn't want Jee to see him like this, he didn't want anyone to see him like this.
Or: Buck needs a little bit more conformation to be alive, so he hurts himself, unfortunately is Jee the one to notice it first.

Summary
God, he hurts. Not a physical kind of hurt. A deep, soul crushing kind of hurt. He covers it up well. But that doesn't mean it's not there. It's always there. The thoughts are always there, creeping through his mind and clawing at his heart.
Usually he can push the thoughts away. Shove them down, paste on a smile and ignore it all. But today, they're too much. He's so tired. Not the kind of tired that sleep can fix. He's so broken. He's a fucked up mess. He wants it all to stop, the pain, the hate.
He wants to die.
