“I’d much rather be planning our first Valentine’s Day,” Scott laughs nervously. “If I promise to make it super romantic, will you let me slip out the back and escape into the Preserve?”
Derek leans over his shoulder, his smile teasing. “What if I wanted to be the one to give the big romantic surprise?”“I could be convinced if you let me run out of this meeting?”
“Mm. Nice try.” Derek leans in again, pressing a sweet kiss to his temple. Scott’s insides promptly go, well, gooey. “You’ll do great. I promise.”
In which a last minute inter-Pack meeting goes, predictably, horribly wrong and forces Scott to consider the werewolf dos and don’ts of relationship traditions.

“Duncan.” Aerion said firmly. His face tightened for a moment before relaxing completely, large lilac eyes looking at him pleadingly. “I am still cold. Stay with me.”
Duncan froze, his feet seeming to have been nailed to the wooden floor. His breath faltered, his heart pounding hard. Blue eyes fixed on the pale violet ones, a silent argument passing between them, a tug-of-war to see who would give in first.
“Come sleep.”
Aerion said it, the invitation sounding far too dangerous, yet Duncan found himself moving toward the man. His feet moved on their own.
“Is that an order?”
“No…” Aerion whispered, his voice low and seductive like the song of a siren. “Just a request.”
(Or, after enduring the hardships of winter, Aerion and Duncan realized that sharing each other’s warmth might be the only way to survive a cruel night.)

Summary
Dunk keeps his hand where it is, broad palm cupping the side of Aerion’s jaw, feeling the faint tremor that runs through the prince each time he draws breath. The tremor does not quite fade, though Aerion has stopped hissing for the moment, and Dunk realizes after a time that the man beneath his hand is watching him with the wary attention of a creature that hasn’t decided whether the touch means comfort or restraint.
“Well now,” Dunk murmurs at last, tilting the prince’s head this way and that as if he were judging the soundness of a horse’s teeth. “You’ve made a right mess of yourself, haven’t you?”or; aerion drinks wildfire, the strange liquid burning his mouth and leaving an odd wound behind, he survives and dunk goes see him
