“I tried.” Eddie huffs. “She said, verbatim, ‘I’m not your gay Yoda.’”
With that, the fitting room stall’s lock finally clicks open, the door swinging open with a muted groan. Eddie steps out, arms spread wide. “Alright. What do we think?”
From an objective standpoint, he looks good. He looks really good. Objectively speaking.
From a subjective standpoint, he looks like someone Buck wants to pin against the nearest surface and fuck until they’re both stupid.
“Handsome, you are,” Buck croaks.

Buck wasn’t expecting Eddie to start a fight. Not this soon, not after they just got each other back. Eddie had overheard Athena asking Buck over the phone about a comment Bonnie had made to her about Buck offering to stay, and Eddie completely lost his shit.
“So what? You expected Chris and I to just move on and keep living without you Buck? Because fuck us, right?”
“Eddie, that’s not fair. You know I would do anything for the both of you!,” Buck argued.
“Then stay alive!,” Eddie yelled back, tugging at his hair in frustration.
“I would die for you. I tried.”
“Why is that easier than living for us?,” Chris asked in a quiet voice, making Buck jump.
