    A year after the Last Battle, Moiraine and Siuan have settled in Andor, tasked by the Amyrlin Seat with tracking down those outside the White Tower’s control who would use the One Power for dangerous or illicit purposes. They are also learning how to live together again for the first time in twenty years. Building a life together while coping with their own traumas has not been easy, though after a difficult first few months, things are starting to settle down.

    But when Moiraine begins to exhibit strange and frightening behaviors, the fragile peace of their new life is shattered. Is it old nightmares come back to haunt her, or something worse?
