It had only been just over a month since she had moved from Purgatory into the city to take up a teaching position at the university while she worked on her PhD, but she already felt far removed from her old life. It had been something of a whirlwind so far, her weekdays spent trying to find her feet in a new job and juggling her workload with her studies.
