Civilians have always claimed that Ninja are inhuman. (The civilian rumours are not wrong.) The Ninja have always dismissed the accusations. (They should not have.)
Just because Ninja a mostly human now does not mean that is the way it has always been...

Things in this new world seem almost too good to be true, with no conflict between the clans and an almost foolproof way to literally sniff out intentions Zetsu cannot hide from them. They have to learn to deal with their new secondary genders and what this will mean for their future together and the futures of their clans
