There was a lengthy, predictable pause. “...No,” came the Divine Key’s eventual admission.

“Well, yeah,” March beamed, radiating her signature youthful charm. “We’re both super cool artists. I’m not putting myself down, I just think it’d be fun to be able to - invent stuff, so I could both capture memories from life, and… manifest them, I guess. And, more than that, it just seems that, I dunno.. drawing would be fun, right?”
Welt ends up somehow hosting an impromptu drawing session for the younger Express members after they return from a stressful day. Meanwhile, in the nebulously-distant past, two travelling companions share a brand new sketchbook, in a vain, poorly-hidden attempt at poaching information out of each other.

The intense flashing made Kinger cower into his robe, and the mysterious scratching noise returned as he scraped the sides of his head. Zooble began to catch on.
"Are the lights...bothering you?"
From deep within his robe, Kinger nodded, then he muttered in a strained, broken voice.
"Everything is bothering me."
(During an especially overwhelming adventure, Kinger starts to have a meltdown and is unwillingly found by Zooble.)

“Man, it’s really coming down out there. Should we be worried?” Jax asked. Kinger shook himself and looked over to notice the snow piling up on the ground, the bushes, the car. The trees were starting to sparkle with fallen crystals.
“Oh, my, a winter wonderland! I wonder if there’ll be any flutterflakes!” Kinger exclaims, excited to see one of his favorite insects.
Jax gives him a look. “…No. I don’t think there are,” he says hollowly.
