Summary
A very undignified snort escaped Robin’s mouth, “you cannot be serious. Risking your life for a piece of cake? You’re lucky I found you first. You’re bound to get kidnapped, kiddo.” Robin said as if Tim didn’t already know,
That was insulting. Probably. Tim was perfectly capable of handling himself, and he was about to open his mouth to say so when Robin continued.
“Again.”
Movement halted for a moment as Tim’s brain processed the word that had been said. Was Robin saying Tim had been kidnapped before? He had not, he would remember something as traumatic as that. Tim didn’t have any scars from torture, nor had his parents ever mentioned a ransom. No police had ever interviewed him and he knew he would remember being saved by Batman. Perhaps Robin had mistaken him for someone else.
OR
AU where Tim was adopted by the Drakes rather than being their bio son, but the circumstances of his creation are not so simple.

Jason frowned at him and crossed his arms on instinct, getting defensive “It’s abandoned!” He knew he had no right to be here. But this kid sure didn’t either.
“I live here,” the child replied simply.
Jason stared at him. The mysterious child stared back.

"Did you see?" says Dick, and he lets go of Tim's shoulders to take him by the arm, tugging him toward the kitchen instead of the Batcave. "Alfred made cookies."
"Think he's trying to lure you in," says Tim, with a huff of a laugh. "Like one of those traps they bait for raccoons."
"Raccoons are too smart for that, baby bird," says Dick, blithely, and swipes up one of the bait-cookies anyway, biting into it with an appreciative little hum.
Tim finds somewhere else to look — fixes his gaze on a spot on the far wall, trying hard to ignore the way the kitchen smells of cinnamon and nutmeg and sugar. His stomach twists a little, hopeful, and he tells it firmly that these aren't for him. They're Dick's welcome-home cookies.

Summary
Tim is adjusting to staying with Bruce and learning what it is like to have Dick Grayson for a brother. That is, until a series of unfortunate events leads to the Drakes cutting their travels short and choosing to stay in Gotham. Now, Tim and his parents have to get used to living under the same roof for longer than a week for the first time in years. Surely, nothing bad will happen.
