As winter break has come and gone, the NRC decides to do their yearly student body health evaluation. It was a simple test of sight, hearing and mental faculties meant to shield the school from liability in the case that a student were to return with issues that they didn't have before, as well as a general survey of the people enrolled.
Having never had the chance to take such tests while being homeschooled, Kalim learns something new about himself.
It is not a day to celebrate.

Summary
After things takes a turn for the worse during the overblot fight Kalim finds himself suddenly back to his first year right when the first term exams results drop. This is for him the unique opportunity to stop Jamil from overblotting and give him the freedom he wished for. Even if it means Kalim had to end their friendship. It’s not like Jamil would be hurt by it, it had been one sided all along, right?
Jamil was secretly freaking out, how did Kalim figure out he lowered his grades on purpose? Since when did that dense idiot pick up on those things? And he didn’t want to be friends anymore?! What was going on here?!
The major character death is right at the beginning of chapter one, and gets reversed right away. There will be no additional death.

Leading to Cater growing up on NRC's campus. Changing how the story is told, as the ginger is sorted into Pomefiore instead of Heartslabyul, where he meets and is made the roommate of a young Vil Schoenheit, who'd come to NRC with the hope he could make friends.
Story picks up during Vil and Cater's first year and will continue until our current timeline.
