Summary
When a mysterious traveling carnival called Carnival Nocturne appears overnight in the small town of Hollow Ridge, seventeen-year-old Marla Jennings and her friends are drawn into its eerie charm. But when Marla vanishes inside a hall of mirrors and is later found dead — face painted like a clown and a red balloon tied to her wrist — her friends know something far more sinister is at play.
As Riley, Dante, and Jules investigate the carnival’s dark past, they uncover a chilling pattern: every thirteen years, the carnival returns to a new town, leaving a trail of missing teens and unsolved horrors behind. But the deeper they dig, the more the carnival begins to haunt them — in mirrors, in dreams, in shadows.
