You tilted your head back — further than you expected you needed to — to discover a man behind you, taller than any you had ever seen up close. The black fabric hanging over his face shifted as he cocked his head to examine you like a bird who had discovered a shiny, interesting scrap of metal in the dirt. A pair of blue eyes glinted in the low light, nearly hidden among the folds of cloth.
