Summary
Cypress had, in all her 15 years, never once actually seen the hero tower.
There wasn’t a single person in Alden who hadn't seen the hero tower, honestly. It was the biggest building in the entire city-state for Christ's sake! But she doubts there's been as many people who have stood right in front of it.
She, as of two minutes ago, has now been counted among those few people.
One thing led to another and suddenly her way to kill time ended up almost killing her. Something about the government not wanting some brat punching randos. Complete bullcrap in her opinion.
...or, Alden is full of superhumans and hybrids. Cypress is one of millions until she suddenly gets brought into the spotlight as the city's newest hero "Emperor."

Tony Stark was a simple man. Despite the vast media coverage on his ex-teammates and the worrying by his best friend and girlfriend, he was fine. Peachy. He never slept before, so what were a few more nightmares? He was a Stark. And Stark men were made of Iron.
Peter Parker knew he worried his Aunt. He knew he was missing sleep and eating less, but what was a teenaged superhero supposed to do? High School already kicked his ass, and now he had a double life to juggle on top of it.
What happens when the two text each other accidentally and find out that maybe their problems can be solved- with the help of the other.
Throw in some secret identites, a revisal of the Accords, the Avengers coming back and a splash of angst. What do you get? A little bit of give and take.

The work was perfect, and so was Ned's chemistry grade. After that it was Peter this, Peter that, Peter parted the Red Sea, it’s true, MJ, I was there; I saw it. MJ, hey, are you listening?
Then Ned says, “We should invite Peter to join AcaDec.”
