Out of anyone, Mack probably picked the wrong guy to bite his lip and bat his eyelashes at. Tom is nice, but Mack has watched him snap to violence several times. For some reason, right now the thought sparks heat in his belly. Maybe he wants to hurt, maybe he wants to do something reckless and futile and get shoved up against a wall—in passion, in disgust—Mack doesn't really care right now.
Nothing will hurt more than losing today.

Summary
The photo of Connor post his morning workout, hair curling at the ends from sweat and one arm raised in a way that pulls his shirt up just enough for a glimpse of his abs to show, disappears from Macklin's screen as he contemplates what to write.
As he thinks, he absentmindedly licks at his lips. His mouth is oddly dry, but Macklin doesn't think too much of it, attributing it to the hard practice they've just had.
He really needs to rehydrate.

Because the reality of Will being pressed all along his side, laughing into a Sprite, looking comfortable as anything amongst their teammates and the WAGs while wearing a slinky, strappy black dress with a high slit that shows off his fucking shaved legs....

As soon as his agent picks up, Macklin spills the tea while it’s still piping hot.
“Is there anything in my contract about… physical relationships with staff or, like, people in the organisation?” Macklin blurts out.
There is a very pregnant pause. “People in the organisation?” His agent repeats slowly. “What did you do, Mack?”
“Nothing,” Mack says, too quickly to sound convincing. “Just… hypothetically.”

Or, Macklin spends the hottest night of his life with a pretty boy whose blond curls are nothing short of gorgeous. The next morning, he finds out that he just slept with the son of the man who owns the San Jose Sharks. He does not handle it well.
