Dimly, while the last of the crowd slowly dispersed around him, Special Officer Alluri Rama Raju wondered if he would ever stop shaking.
He had stumbled away from the scaffold at the first opportunity, bright red in the blur of khaki, dust, and barbed wire, weaving through the chaos like a droplet of blood trickling through the sand.

This fic picks up right after the flogging, roughly follows the plot and carries on until after the end of the movie for all the RamBheem Hurt/Comfort.
The important canon divergence is that Ram talks to Malli before executing his plan, (apologising profusely to her), and once Bheem and Malli are on the run, she tells him the truth about Ram's mission. Oh, and I guess the other canon divergence is that they're in love, but if that's not already canon to you, what are you doing here?

Or: Ram goes to great lengths to advance his cause. Bheem, against his better judgement, goes along with him.

“Now what do we say, Nannette?” He asks, finally turning to Porthos. His grateful smile drops and his mouth falls open slightly.
“Merci, Monsieur…” Nannette says to him, her voice trailing off as she realises she doesn’t know his name.
“Porthos,” her father supplies, and then his grin returns- “This is Porthos.”Porthos returns to Paris after eight years away with the army, and he runs into an old friend who he hasn't seen in a very long time. A lot has changed in four years.
