An AU within the canon of FFXVI. Shortly before the start of the game Elwin meets a young lord that catches his eye and changes the course of destiny for the Rosfield family. This will be the first part, told in 10 chapters. The first timeskip in the game will be where part 2 picks up.
I wanted the Rosfield boys to be happy and for Anabella to get kicked to the curb. At least for a while.

“How dare you! You fucking piece of shit! You burned him alive!” You screamed, pulling on your restraints until you almost dislocated your shoulders trying to get closer. “Clive Rosfield, how dare you to stay silent!” Tears ran down your face, as you tried to get closer to the man in front of you. Clive punished himself by gazing into your eyes. Seeing exactly what he's done. They suddenly flash crimson. “I'll kill you! I'll fucking kill you!” A stream of fire bursted from your mouth, engulfing Clive. How he wished he could just take it and burn away right on the spot. Make it all go away. The guilt and regret. Ifrit and Cid, however, had other plans. Your flames felt warm, licking his skin. You screamed in frustration. It explained the nickname however, the wry thought shooting through his mind as he watched you go mad.
