Tim’s shoulders creep up towards his ears defensively, but he looks Bruce dead in the eye when he says, simply—“Hacked it.”
“You—“ Bruce feels wrong-footed and flustered. Should he scold him? Bench him? He’d know if it was Dick or Jason—but they were his.
Tim is… He desperately grasps for the right word. Tim is.
“I’m Robin,” Tim says, like that’s an explanation. He points at Bruce, “And you’re compromised. You can’t help Gotham if you're dead.”

The first anniversary of Jason’s death looms. As Gotham fractures under multiple threats, Bruce is forced to confront his grief before he puts more than himself at risk.

Jason swallows down the nausea and hopes Bruce doesn’t notice his hands shaking. “I don’t understand you,” he rasps, barely caring when his voice betrays him and cracks. “The horrible things these people have done—the lives they’ve ruined. How can you possibly be satisfied with just stopping them? They’ll either get released from prison or escape somehow to continue where they left off. I just…” Jason takes a shuddering breath.
I just can’t ever be that helpless again, I can never leave anyone to a fate like that ever again.

“How’d you cry so easily?” Duke asks, still entirely too awkward because no matter what Steph says, Duke still thinks Tim is kinda cool in a weird way. A really weird way.
“Oh, I classically conditioned myself over winter break when I was eleven. All I have to do to tear up is pinch a certain point on my arm. See?” Tim viciously pinches a spot on his inner forearm. Immediately tears start to well in his eyes.

Summary
Jason was a lot of things. He was an outlaw, a former Robin, a victim, a hero, a problem, but more importantly, he was a dumbass.
Capital D, capital U, capital M… you get the point.
Sometimes, he could forget how much of a dumbass he was. Sometimes, he got lucky and passed the luck off as skill and forward thinking. Other times, he was forced to face the cold hard truth that his brain had been jostled one too many times in his youth. Like now.

Jason's working a case that deals with the worse of humanity. No leads, no one willing to speak, and a push to do things Bruce's way is making it hard to make any progress. Luckily, someone took mercy on him and left a file in his apartment with detailed information. Unfortunately, the person who left the file comes back weeks later to bleed on his floor.If the blood loss doesn't kill Tim Drake, Jason's going to.

Dick sounded amused. “You didn’t tell me you were coming.”
“You should have known.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. My latent psychic abilities haven’t kicked in yet,” Dick said. Then, as if the possibility was just occurring to him: “You told someone you were coming, right?”
Tim made a noise, vague enough for Dick to interpret however he wanted.
“Hey,” the next tug on the blanket was sharper, as was Dick’s voice. When he got the blanket down enough to see Tim’s face, he raised an eyebrow, repeating, “You told someone you were coming, right?”
Or: Tim and Bruce have a fight. Tim does the only logical thing and goes to Dick about it.
