Summary
Zoey and Mira are at the end of their rope waiting for Celine to finally track down this third and final member of their hunting trio before they can make their debuts as idols and start to actually be effective against the forces of evil in their world. They decide to blow off some steam at a club in the city but run into trouble when they come toe to toe with a demon unlike any they'd faced before.
She's strong and clearly very powerful, but when they draw their weapons, she does something no other demon has when faced with the opportunity to try and take down the legendary demon hunters.
She runs away.

Summary
Mi-yeong vanished before Celine ever got to see the baby they were going to raise. All she knows is, years later, Celine felt Mi-yeong's death. She never found out why.
In the future, Celine has managed to find Mira and Zoey, but never their third hunter. Mira and Zoey eventually had to debut as a duo. After so long, the two of them had started to wonder if they were ever going to find their third.
Then one day, the Honmoon began to ripple in pain despite no tears, leading them to a man who claims his cult captured a demon. They did not expect, upon investigating said cult, that the kinda-demon they held was- somehow- their third hunter.
OR; the AU where Rumi was not raised by Celine. She grew up alone and confused in the foster system, not knowing what she was or why she could see things others couldn't, and all the troubles that come with it.

“Today was a good day.” Zoey says, half-smiling. It’s a nostalgia with her words. Nostalgia for what? That morning, when everything seemed okay? When they had breakfast and went to the movies and visited the aquarium and kissed and laughed? And then Rumi tried killing herself?
Mira rubs her eyes. They’re suddenly burning. “Yeah. Yeah, it was.”
…
Rumi jumps off her balcony. She teleports halfway down and lands in the kitchen. Mira and Zoey are left wondering where down the line they’ve failed her.

Summary
Rumi touched her fingers to her ribs. She could feel the heat radiating from her skin, even through her clothes. A distant, miserable part of her said, this is going to hurt.
She pushed her fingers down.
The rib shifted.
The thing about telling one very big lie is that it requires a foundation of hundreds of smaller lies to hold it up, lies such as "I'm fine," and "nothing's broken," and "it doesn't hurt."
Rumi finds this out the hard way.
