Will his "one night only" rule keep him from finding something deeper?

Summary
Isak thought he accomplished the hard bit coming out to his friends. They accepted it like it wasn't a big deal; like it didn't even matter. They even encouraged Isak to get out in the world. So what was the point in mentioning a crush he'd had in the past? It was over at that time anyways. The only problem should have been that Isak was too slow to say no to the plan forming in his friends' minds, and he found himself in the middle of a bet. Who could set Isak up with the perfect man? Isak had no say in the matter. The bet was on.
There was just one other little problem.
Isak was not as single as his friends thought he was.

He can’t think of a single thing he’d change. It’s suffocating. It’s amazing. Isak looks up at Even again, the aftermath of a bright smile is playing on his face and they lock eyes, just kind of staring, for no reason in particular.
I am going to die loving you, Isak allows himself to think.

Isak was sitting in his rocking chair in the living room, it was dark and snowing outside, the fire was making shadows around the room. He was clutching a large green and blue photo album in his lap and a cup of chocolate was ready beside him on the small table. His fingers were shaking a bit, a mixture of deep emotions and old age running through him. He was 83 years old and had just lost the love of his life.
