    Summary

The Valyrian Gods turned their displeasure upon Viserys Targaryen when they realized the king had failed to heed the warning granted to him in dreams. Weak before fate and blinded by guilt, Viserys had failed to protect the blood of the dragon.

As punishment—and as a final attempt at salvation—the gods sent new visions to his heir, Rhaenyra Targaryen, revealing to her a future of betrayal, war, and ruin. Along with the dreams came a command, clear and unyielding:

Take control. Rewrite destiny. Save House Targaryen.

Now, amid prophecies of fire and choices that demand blood, Rhaenyra must prove herself worthy of Valyria’s legacy—not as a princess, but as a dragon.

    Summary

    The dragon has three heads.

Daenerys had been taught about dragons, about her family history and the great beasts they rode. About their thick hides and near impenetrable scales. About their horned heads and fanged maws that can spit fire at a moments notice. About their leathery wings which sounded like the roar of thunder with each beat.

She had never been taught about them having multiple heads. The three headed crimson dragon of her House's flag was to represent Aegon and his sister-wives, of the three dragons they used to bend the Seven Kingdoms to their knees. It was figurative.

But this one she cradled to her breast had three heads at the end of its sinuous serpentine necks. The crown of each head was dotted with small, barely-there horns with more along the length of the spine. There were also two tails, the barbed tips curling around her forearm like a babe clinging to its mother's finger. Its scales shone like gold, glittering through the ash coating its body.

    Summary

Alicent knew there was something deeply profane about the second son of Rhaenyra the moment she saw him. Twin to Jacaerys, yet looking nothing like his brother who had brown hair and dull brown eyes. The silver hair of the child was touted as truth of his Velaryon linage, but Alicent knew something more unholy was at work. Those eyes were deeply unnatural, such a vibrant burning green. Far too aware and watchful when Alicent was presented with the child, despite both brothers still in swaddling clothes.

And then there was those hideously oversized front teeth.

    Like a rat.

    Summary

The tragedy that befell Lucerys Velaryon at Storm’s End was never planned, on this all of our sources agree. The first battles in the Dance of the Dragons were fought with quills and ravens, with threats and promises, decrees and blandishments. The murder of Lord Beesbury at the green council was not yet widely known; most believed his lordship to be languishing in some dungeon. Whilst sundry familiar faces were no longer seen about court, no heads had appeared above the castle gates, and many still hoped that that the question of succession might be resolved peaceably.

The Stranger had other plans. For surely it was his dread hand behind the ill chance that brought the two princelings together at Storm’s End, when the dragon Arrax raced before a gathering storm to deliver Lucerys Velaryon to the safety of the castle yard, only to find Aemond Targaryen there before him.

And with Lucerys's death, the war of ravens and envoys and marriage pacts came to an end, and the war of fire and blood began in earnest.

Or, Lucerys is killed over Shipbreaker Bay as he was always fated to be. Only this time he doesn't stay dead.

    Mostly.

"I say, leave Viserys to his leeching lords and bootlickers. Come with me, Daemon. Let us build a kingdom of our own, rising from the ashes and fire"

A fanfic born from my desire to see a woman win Daemon Targaryen’s heart (and stomach) through food, love and admiration, while they build a kingdom together from the ruins of old Valyria.
